"Il mendicante d'acqua" - 11/06/11

Stencil realizzato al circolo Varanasi in occasione della giornata contro la privatizzazione dell'acqua in cui la pioggia ha ripetutamente dato il suo consenso.
Nel giorno che precedeva l'inizio del referendum ho cercato di dare, nel mio piccolo, un contributo alla giusta causa del doppio SI.
Sebbene l'immagine di un essere umano in cerca non di soldi, né di cibo, bensì di acqua risulti un'estremizzazione della mancata privatizzazione di questo bene, lo scopo a cui voglio indurre l'osservatore è semplicemente quello di riflettere sulla portata dell'assurdità di un tale proposito, fondato semplicemente sulle leggi del profitto e sulla follia che anima la mente dell'homo economicus.
Un ringraziamento va ad Alessio e Matteo per il loro impegno e la loro immancabile disponibilità e anche alla mia cara Helena per la bella poesia a completamento dello stencil.

In Italy there was a law repealing referendum on 12th and 13th June 2011.
We had to vote among other things about the decision to privatize public water.
Luckily people decided for the wise answer.

I made this at the Varanasi circle during the day against the water privatization in which the rain has repeatedly given his consent.
In the days that preceded the beginning of the referendum I tried to give a small contribution to this cause.
Although the image of a human not being in search of money or food, but water remains an exaggeration of the effect of the possible privatization of this property, the purpose for which I will lead the observer is simply to reflect on the absurdity of this will, based simply on the laws of profit and the insanity that drives the mind of the businessmen.
